PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This is one of the few Pre-Health Pathway programs in the Ontario College sector where students have the opportunity to gain science lab experience. If you are interested in pursuing a career in the health-care sector and you would like the opportunity to explore your options while developing the skills that are necessary for post-secondary success, then this is the program for you. In the Pre-Health program you will strengthen your science, writing and math skills while exploring and preparing you for career paths in biotechnology, pharmacy technician, registered or practical nursing, Chinese medicine, paramedicine, to name a few.
In this program you will:
- build the foundational skills necessary for success in the health sciences field including math, critical thinking and problem solving
- gain science credits in biology, anatomy, chemistry and physics
- hone your academic skills for future studies
- experience learning in a science lab
- participate in lab teams and conduct science experiments – starting in your first semester

REGISTRATION DETAILS
- 2 semesters
- January, May, September start dates at the North Campus
- Standard delivery: Students select a pre-set weekly schedule of courses that best meets their needs (in-person, hybrid and online)
Tuition and fees
The 2023/2024 fee for two semesters is:
Domestic: $3,852.48
International: $16,803.00
The 2024/2025 fee for two semesters is:
Domestic: $4,019.14
International: $17,481.58
Fees subject to change.
Additional fees - $30 (lab fees)
How to Apply
Applications to Humber are made through ontariocolleges.ca. Be sure to submit your application by the equal consideration deadline of February 1. You may apply after February 1, however, post-February 1 applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis depending on the availability of the space in the program.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Admission selection is based on the following three requirements:
1. Academic
To be eligible for admission, you must possess the following:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including these required courses:
- Grade 12 English (ENG4C or ENG4U or equivalent)
- Grade 12 Mathematics (MAP4C, MCT4C, MDM4U, MCB4U, MGA4U, MCV4U or MHF4U or equivalent)
- Two Grade 11 or Grade 12 C, M or U courses in addition to those listed above
or
- Mature student status
or
- College or university transfer status
2. English Language Proficiency
All applicants whose first language is not English must meet Humber’s English Language Proficiency Policy.
3. International Credit Evaluation
Canadian citizens or permanent residents with international education are required to provide a credential evaluation. Note, for international High school education course by course evaluations, ICAS must be used. For international post-secondary education, a WES evaluation must be provided. In situations where you expect to apply for transfer credit, it is recommended that a course by course WES evaluation is completed.
