PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
For youth looking for a job, the On the Line culinary program is a free, paid youth career training program in Toronto. You can get paid to learn, access skills-building opportunities, and gain employment readiness support in this 11-week culinary program.
What to expect from On the Line
- 5 weeks of intensive kitchen training and pre-employment support to start careers
- 6 weeks of paid work placement following the in-class training
- Get paid for 30 hours per week to attend the sessions
- Training Menu planning, knife skills, and food prep training under a Chef instructor
- Food Safety, HACCP, and WHMIS
- One-on-one assistance with job search
- On-going support throughout your employment

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
The On the Line Program is open to youth:
- Aged between between the ages of 15 and 30 years old at the time of registration
- A Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or a protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
