PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
How do you get into law school? What is it like being a law student? What types of careers are available in the field of law? The March Break Youth Program at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law explores these questions and more. This one-week module offers participants a unique glimpse into the study of law at Canada’s leading law school. Through interactive workshops, lectures, field trips and legal simulations, students will immerse themselves in the world of legal thinking and advocacy and step into the shoes of a law student.
For high school students interested in the law and legal issues, the Law YSP offers an unprecedented opportunity to spend time in the fascinating world of Canadian and international law, legal thinking and advocacy.
REGISTRATION DETAILS
- Runs in-person for one week during the March break.
- 2025 dates: Monday, March 10, 2025 – Friday, March 14, 2025
- Registration will open as of Monday, December 2, 2024. Please note, spaces are limited and are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Fees
2025 March Break fee: $1125 Module Fee
There is an additional non-refundable $98 CAD registration fee applied once per student regardless of how many modules they register for the year.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Students applying to the University of Toronto’s Law YSP should be dedicated students currently enrolled in Grades 10 through 12. Unfortunately, students currently enrolled in Grade 9 are not considered eligible for the Law YSP.
