ENTRY TO FOOD PROCESSING (EFP) TRAINING

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Full-time EFP certificate 4 weeks in-class training and 4 weeks work placement experience.

Sector-focused training includes:

  • Canadian Food Processing Industry Standards
  • Public Health Legislation and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Principles of Food Safety Management
  • Hygiene, Sanitation and Allergens
  • Food Handling, Spoilage and Safety
  • And much more!

Upon successful completion of the program:

  • participants will receive:
  • Food Handling Certification from Toronto Public Health
  • 6 Food Processing Industry recognized certificates
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Training
  • Standard CPR and First Aid Training
  • Work Experience

REGISTRATION DETAILS

To register, please contact our office to set up an appointment for the Canadian Adult Achievement Test (CAAT) to assess your skills in English and math.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a client of Toronto Employment & Social Services
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must be at a minimum Grade 10 level for English and Math
