DUAL CREDIT PROGRAM

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Dual Credit program provides Secondary School students with the opportunity to earn college credits at Centennial still in high school. Credits earned in the Dual Credit program count as both a College Credit that may be applied toward a College diploma or certificate, and a secondary school credit that will count toward completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
Students taking Dual Credit courses at Centennial College, are treated as College students, and receive a Centennial College student number and Student card providing access to all Centennial College resources on campus and electronically, including a myCentennial email address, access to the eCentennial Learning Management system, Centennial Libraries and Learning Centres and the Centre for Accessible Learning and Counselling Services.The Dual Credit program provides Secondary School students with the opportunity to earn college credits at Centennial still in high school. REGISTRATION DETAILS

Classes start at the beginning of each secondary school semester in September and February.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Secondary School students, aged 16 and over, in Ontario who face challenges in completing the requirements for graduation, but have the potential to succeed in College or an Apprenticeship, including disengaged students who are at risk of not graduating, and students who left school before graduating, but have returned to earn their diploma. Students in Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs and the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) are also eligible to participate. Eligible students must demonstrate an interest in and commitment to the program. Students in Grades 11 and 12 are prioritized for eligibility.
